Alina Carare is a Senior Economist at the International Monetary Fund. She is currently covering Germany in the European Department. Prior to this assignment she participated in various area department and technical (monetary and financial) IMF missions. She has published policy papers on a variety of topics, and academic papers on monetary policy issues.
