Bas van der Klaauw
VU University Amsterdam
Bas van der Klaauw (1973) is Associate Professor at the Department of Economics, VU University Amsterdam. He is also affiliated to the Tinbergen Institute, CEPR, IZA and IFAU. He obtained his Ph.D. cum laude at VU University Amsterdam. He published in journals like Economic Journal, International Economic Review, Journal of Labor Economics, Journal of the European Economic Association and Journal of Public Economics. His current research is mainly empirical and focuses on microeconomic analyses of labor markets, education and health. In 2008 he received an ERC Starting Grant for research on the evaluation of active labor market programs. Currently he is co-editor at Labour Economics.
