Belgi Turan is a graduate student in the Economics Department at University of Houston. She has received B.Sc. in engineering and MBA degrees from Middle East Technical University, Ankara, Turkey. Her research focuses on Development Economics and Health Economics. Her recent projects examine the effect of HIV/AIDS on growth and development of African economies.
