Benny Geys studied Economics at the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL) and Vrije Universiteit Brussel (VUB). He is a post-doctoral research fellow at the WZB since October 2005. His (predominantly empirical) research activities focus on (local) government performance and policy formation and on the causes and consequences of political fragmentation and civic engagement.
