Jenny Williams

Jenny Williams joined the University of Melbourne in January 2003 and was promoted to Senior Lecturer in February, 2004. She received her PhD (Economics) from Rice University in 1997 and was appointed as a lecturer at the University of Adelaide in November 1996. From July 2000 until December 2001, Jenny visited the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she held a joint position in the School of Economics and the Health Policy Research Centers. Her research interests lie broadly within the area of applied econometrics. She has published on the determinants on criminality, the demand for (licit and illicit) drugs, the intertemporal nature of drug use (models of habit formation), and the effect of drug use on study habits and academic success.
