Mohamed Ariff
Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER)
Mohamed Ariff is the Executive Director of the Malaysian Institute of Economic Research (MIER). He is also member of the National Productivity Corporation (NPC) and the Domestic Trade Council of Malaysia, and he is affiliated to the Institute of Southeast Asian Studies (ISEAS), the Malaysian National Council for Pacific Economic Cooperation (MANCPEC), the East Asian Economic Association, and the International Steering Committee of the Pacific Trade and Development (PAFTAD) Conference. Dr Ariff's areas of expertise include international trade, foreign direct investments, and regional economic integration. Previously he served as the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administration and held the Chair of Analytical Economics at the University of Malaya.
