Ricardo Reis

Ricardo Reis is a Professor of Economics at Columbia University. He is also an NBER Research Fellow and a CEPR Research Affiliate. His research is in macroeconomics and in the past he has worked on: the link between inflation and monetary policy, the measurement and implications of persistence in macroeconomic time-series, the construction of better price indices to measure inflation, fiscal policy during the 2007-09 recession, and understanding how people's limited ability to pay attention to all that surrounds them affects their choices as well as the diffusion of news in the population. He is a graduate of the London School of Economics, with a PhD from Harvard University.
