Selim Elekdag
Central Bank of Turkey and IMF
Selim Elekdag is currently an Advisor in the Research and Monetary Policy Department of the Central Bank of Turkey after taking a two year leave from the Research Department of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) where he was an Economist (2003-2009). Before joining the IMF, Mr. Elekdag a Turkish national, was a consultant at the World Bank (2002). He holds a Ph.D. in economics from the Johns Hopkins University. His main research interests include monetary policy in emerging economies and modeling the demand for IMF resources, some of which have been published in the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control and IMF Staff Papers.
