Vladimir Gligorov is a Researcher with The Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies (wiiw), Austria. Current projects include ‘Financial risks in candidate and potential candidate countries’, ‘Inequality and Public Finance’, ‘Informality and Transition’. Previous affiliations include Uppsala University, Sweden; George-Mason University, Fairfax, VA, USA; Institute of Economic Sciences, Belgrade, Serbia; Columbia University, New York, USA. He has acted as a consultant for The World Bank and the OECD. He lectures at the graduate course for Balkan Studies of the University of Vienna. Gligorov has published couple of books in English and a number of articles. He has contributed op-ed pieces to The Wall Street Journal.
